Breeding
Miniature Pinschers—An Introduction
The decision to
breed is a big one that should not be made in haste. There are many important considerations that
can be summed up in one question: Why do you want to breed your dog? You should only be breeding if your dog is a
shining example of the breed. Unless
their temperament, physical appearance and health are exceptional, there is no
need to breed them. Too many Min Pins
(and other dogs) are abandoned because they have social, physical or behavioral
problems that could be due to irresponsible breeding. Note: I am not in any way condoning the abandonment
of any dog because it has ‘problems’. I
am saying that as a responsible breeder, you will not do anything to contribute
to the deterioration of the breed or overpopulation.
