Getting a Miniature Pinscher Puppy
How long should Miniature Pinschers stay with their mothers? How
young is too soon?
A Miniature Pinscher puppy should
never be taken from his mother before six weeks of age. Ideally, he should stay with his mother and
the litter until twelve weeks to help him develop both physically and socially.
Part
of the weaning process of the puppies is making sure that all of their health
is in the best order. As most dog owners
know, puppies will need to have extra shots in order to vaccinate them from
problems that they may be sensitive to.
The first set of vaccinations a puppy will need is known as a booster
shot. This allows their immune system to
build so when they do go to a new environment, they can easily fight off any
changes that may potentially harm their system.
You should also make sure that the Min Pin has been wormed, in order to
prevent possible problems with their digestive system. Most likely, the shots that the puppy
receives will need to be given twice before you get the dog. The
major reason for keeping these two things in mind before you get a Min Pin is
because of the possibilities that could occur after it moves into a new
environment. Puppies are more sensitive
to different areas than would be expected.
If something gets into the Min Pin’s system, you can easily be paying
expensive bills and visiting the vet for an entire month, trying to get the
problem solved. Because of this, you
don’t want to get a Min Pin too early.
You want to make sure it is healthy, has received its shots and is
eating normally. This will help it to
get used to its new environment without any major physical or mental health
problems. The
most important thing to remember about your Miniature Pinscher is that it needs
to feel comfortable moving into its new environment. One of the easiest ways to do this is to be
patient with getting your Min Pin. Getting
the dog too soon can expose it to the wrong things in the environment. If it isn’t eating as much you can have a
large problem on your hands. Because of
this, making sure that your Min Pin is ready to enter your home as their new
world before getting the dog is the most important step for your new addition.
